Lots of very interesting characters arrived at school today. The characters were able to show their favourite book and tell fascinating facts about themselves. They enjoyed a whole school PowerPoint on World Book Day and discovered lots of new words - especially the word empathy for KS2.
In the afternoon the children all had a visit from Michelle from the Ink Wing Academy who shared The Gruffalo story with Foundation Stage, The Tear Thief with KS1 and The book To Live Forever with KS2. The children were involved in creative activities following the stories. A great day was had by all with some even finding the time to send some photos of themselves reading in interesting places.
