This year we have decided to take part in the Translink Eco-Schools Travel Challenge. This is a two week challenge running through spring when we can consider more environmentally friendly and healthy ways to travel to school sustainably - walk, bike, bus or scoot! This is a challenge that will really help with us trying to achieve our Eco-Schools Green Flag Award.
The challenge is simple, we compile a 'before' travel survey and an 'after' travel survey. These can be known as My Old Way to Travel and My New Way to Travel. In school the daily journey will be tallied up by the children and hopefully we will see an increase in sustainable journeys to and from school.
We hope to take part in the two week challenge on the week beginning Monday 6th May. This is so that we have the best chance of good weather to assist anyone hoping to stretch their legs and walk to school.
