Our Primary 7 class travelled to Derry today to take part in two workshops as part of RapidNI’s Transition Workshops for all pupils moving on to Post-Primary education in September. Alongside St. Brigid’s, Cranagh and St. Mary’s, Altinure, our pupils took part in a workshop in The Verbal Arts Centre, focussing on the importance of sharing our worries with others and not keeping problems to ourselves. A short walk down the street to the Newgate Centre saw our pupils take part in a workshop all about what we are like, our identity and how we can help to tackle new scenarios we face. Another short walk led us to The Bentley as everyone was treated to their lunch. It was a lovely morning away from the classroom for all the children.
