Today the Yr 1-3 children had a lovely trip to the An Creggan Centre. We met with our friends from Gortin P.S. and St Patrick’s Gortin. The weather was beautiful and we had a long nature walk with Aidan who told us all about the moss and bog and how important it is to look after it. We also had a pond dipping workshop and used hand lenses to identify some insects from the pond. We saw tadpoles, diving beetles and newts.
We also had art activities and used our imagination to make animals from clay or a nature scene.
We had a fun day.
