Ms Gallagher Retirement

30th Jun 2022

The staff, the Board of Governors, and wider school community of St Peter's recently paid tribute to their teaching colleague, Catherine Gallagher who retired after 33 years of dedicated service in the local community. (Catherine previously taught in St Patrick's Gortin and St. Mary's Cloughcor)  The high regard in which she is held was reflected in the many personal and heartfelt tributes contained in the St Peter's memory book presented to her on her last day of teaching at St. Peter's. It contained many references to her calmness, dignity and professionalism. Mrs Annie Mullan on behalf of the Board of Governors also acknowledged and praised the contribution to Plumbridge that Catherine has made over her long and distinguished career.

Mia and Sarah ( the oldest and youngest child in the school) presented Ms Gallagher with a gift from the parents and pupils at St. Peter’s.

The  Friends of St Peters’ Marked the occasion by organizing a tea party with the class and presenting her with a magnificent dual colored ‘angel’  rose bush.

Throughout the week there has been a steady stream of well wishers outside the Foundation Stage Classroom wishing Catherine all the best.

We wish Catherine a long and fulfilled retirement in which she can enjoy many new adventures with her family and friends. We will miss you. Best Wishes and God Bless. x
