St. Peter's Primary School, Plumbridge, Omagh

In Memoriam - Our P4 pupil - Matthew McBride

Our entire school community wish to extend their deepest condolences to Matthew’s family and friends.

We pray especially for his mummy and daddy and little sister Grace our Year 2 pupil.

There are no word to express how sad we are to have lost Matthew. We have known Matthew in our school for almost four years. During this time Matthew has touched all our lives, enriching us in so many ways. We are all the better for having known him.

His presence in St Peter’s will be greatly missed, his gentle manner, lovely smile, honest answers and his love of farming, especially his tractors made us all smile on so many days. Matthew was full of fun and good humour and thoroughly enjoyed the company of his friends. He had such a close bond with his P.4. classmates. The children loved and respected him so much and they also gained so much from him… now we have a little angel up in heaven.

Matthew will be forever in our hearts.

Matthew you were with us for a little while leaving footprints on our hearts for ever.

Heaven has gained another angel.

May the gentle soul of Matthew Rest in Peace x

On Monday the 4th of December there was a Mass in the Sacred Heart church to celebrate Matthew's life. As Fr. Donnelly explained it was not a month's mind mass as Matthew was an angel in Heaven. It was a mass of thanksgiving for Matthew's short life. During this time Matthew touched the lives of many and those who were in contact with Matthew gained a lot from him. His life was precious, gentle and full of kindness. Matthew loved the presence of others in his life and always had time to stop and listen. He will be always remembered in St. Peter's and will be fondly thought of as ' Our Little Angel Matthew'.
