Today at assembly we remembered how Jesus died and what he did in the days leading up to his death during Holy Week. The children reflected on the story of Jesus’ suffering and death through the Stations of the Cross. Jesus was killed unfairly by people who did not understand his message of love. However, the most amazing thing happened on Easter Sunday Jesus had risen from the dead.
Prayer for Holy Week
Jesus our friend,
As we remember the story of your suffering and death during this Holy Week
We pray for those who are still suffering unjustly in the world.
We pray that their pain will one day be lifted.
Help us to make the journey with you through this Holy Week from suffering and death to new life.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

The Yr 5 – 7 children will also attend the cinema to watch the newly released movie ‘King of Kings’ which retells the story of the life of Jesus. We thank Fr James and Fr Donnelly for inviting us to the cinema.
