What a super day to begin Gardening Club. Under the direction of Annie the children got the raised beds ready and planted seed potatoes. They made potato drills and Annie told them all about leaving space for the potatoes to grow. The potatoes also got some mushroom compost to help them grow and the children will make a rota to water the drills each day as apparently no big showers of rain for the next two weeks. We are hoping for a bumper crop like last year.
The garlic and onion bulb planter were also weeded and the rhubarb is growing well.
Overall a busy afternoon but rewarding.
