Our pupils travelled to Gortin today to take part in the Cumann na mBunscol Blitz. Primary 6/7 girls were able to field a side, and with a little help from Primary 5 we were able to field a boys team too. Playing against our neighbours from St. Patricks (Gortin), St. Michael's (Dunamanagh), St. Caireall's (Aghyaran) and St. Theresa's (Glebe) we enjoyed a lovely morning in the sunshine. Unfortunately for the boys, with some of the younger boys helping out, it was always going to be a tough day at the office. Our girls were able to showcase their skills and were successful in winning all of their matches, including the hard-fought final against St. Caireall's. A date in Garvaghy for the County Finals day will await now.
