Pupils in Primary 4-7 were treated to a morning running around the grounds of Holy Cross in Strabane. Having received an invite from St. Mary’s in Strabane, we accepted and sent a bus load of eager participants. Conditions were far from ideal, with temperatures around 3’C, but a wind chill having it feel more like freezing!
The event was set up with boy and girl races for each individual year group. It was Primary 4 girls who began the day, followed by the boys and this continued for all years. It was a wonderful, yet very tough experience. One lap of the course for P4/5 and two laps for P6-7.
We wish to thank St. Mary’s for the invite and Holy Cross for hosting. Well done to all participants and to Aoibhin in P4 coming in 4th and Aimee in P6 coming in 9th.
