Catholic Schools Week

26th Jan 2026

This week, schools across the country are celebrating what makes Catholic education special: a place where children grow not only in knowledge, but also in faith, compassion, and purpose.

As part of this celebration, our Year 6 pupils invited their parents or a special person to join them for a school assembly.

This year’s theme, “Call to Holiness through Service and Courage,” reminds us that holiness is not something distant or unreachable. It is lived out in our everyday actions—when we help others, include everyone, and have the courage to stand up for what is right.

This message strongly reflects one of our core school values: Community. Our values were created through consultation with all stakeholders—parents, pupils, staff, and the Board of Governors. Community means supporting one another, putting others first, and working together so that everyone feels valued and loved. It reminds us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.

Thank you to our Year 6 class for delivering a thoughtful and uplifting assembly that clearly celebrated the importance of community.
