Seesaw How-To

26th Mar 2020

Some parents and children have not yet accessed their Seesaw Journal from home. Both pages required for pupils and parents to access these journals were included in the homework packs. Below is a quick guide on how to access Seesaw and what to make sure the children are doing with it when they download it. Please check the images for reference.

In the App Store or the Play Store make sure you download both versions of Seesaw. The class version must be on the device that the student will be using. The family version can be on that device, or you can download it on your phone or personal tablet, so that you can be kept updated with what your child is doing and with messages from the teacher.

Once the class app has been downloaded, make sure to tap on Student when attempting to sign in. When this is tapped you can sign in via the QR Code document saved in our ‘Home Learning’ section. This section will be found in the Parent Zone of our website.

After signing in as a student they will be able to see their class journal. From here they can add work they have completed from their homework pack by tapping the green + symbol, or they can have a look at one of the many activities their teacher has assigned for them by tapping on activities.

In the activities tab they can then scroll through and check which activity they want to complete and submit it. Make sure they have read the instructions completely before trying to complete it. By tapping Add Response they choose their name and add the activity response under their own name. The inbox tab also shows messages sent to the class by the teacher. Remember to check it daily, in case there are updates.

IMPORTANT: For the family app for parents / guardians you can sign in using the sheet sent home in the homework pack and using the family app. If you have lost your sign in sheet can you please email the school office and one will be emailed back to you.
