Mrs Bradley's Primary 4/5 choir represented St Peter's today for the first time at the annual Newtownstewart Leisure Complex Ltd Choir Competition, held at the Model Primary School. Our small group of 19 children competed against larger choirs from Gortin Primary School, Ardstraw Jubilee Primary School and the Model Primary School. The overall winner was Ardstraw Jubilee and we are delighted to report that our school was the Runner up! We received a shield and £50 towards the school. Among the four judges were Jim Devine and Cllr Jason Barr, the Deputy Mayor of Strabane and Derry Council.
The boys are girls had worked so hard on their two songs: Love Grows At Christmastime and Leave Her Johnny. They sang beautifully and did themselves and St Peter's very proud. Their expression and delivery were superb!
