Early Positive Approaches to Support programme for parents

28th Mar 2024

Principals across the Primary Schools in Strabane about advertising the E-PTAS parents education programme in the under 6 age group, thanks, Laurence

Dear Miss Falls

I'm just writing to let you know more about our Early Positive Approaches to Support programme which we are running after Easter. This is an 8-week programme for parents/ carers of a child, 18 months up to the age of 5 years 11 months, with a global developmental delay, suspected autism and/ or learning disability. A diagnosis is not needed.

These programmes are running currently as part of a research study in conjunction with the Tizard Centre at the University of Kent and Ulster University. I have attached a poster with more information on the study, as well as a poster with information of the E-PAtS programme itself.

Please share these with any and all relevant contacts and networks - we want to reach out and support as many families as we can.

Please feel free to ring or text me on 07542392957 or email me at lisa.mcgrath@mencap.org.uk for more information

If you are talking to anyone can you encourage them to contact me asap, and also, once I have the online info session times for next week I will send those to you too for forwarding/ following up, if that's ok?? Or if you get any contacts names and emails or numbers please forward to me and I can do the follow up on Monday

Thanks again, very much!

Lisa
