The Class of '22!

28th Jun 2022

Thursday 23rd June will forever be etched in the minds of our 17 Primary 7 pupils and their families as the day they performed for the final time in St. Peter's Primary School. Having spent a few weeks rehearsing and preparing, parents were treated to a drama performance of 'Plumbridge Has Got Talent' and what talent it was. Usually in May / June it's hard to motivate any Primary 7 class, as they can see the finish line in sight. Our class were different, they wanted to perform and so they spent weeks learning lines and creating routines for their final act.

We were so glad to be able to welcome a small number of family members into school again to witness this show, it was such a treat. As with any end of year show, it was emotional. Primary school is something that always lives long in the memory and although it never feels like it at the time, it more often than not is remembered as the best days!

As part of our show we were able to showcase a video of 'Memories' for the class; namely a selection of photos taken over the last seven years. It always happens that by watching these memories that it sets in, that feeling of finality. Both children and their families shed a few tears, needless to say even some staff members did too. It's never easy for staff watching children grow and move on either, they spend 7 years tending to every need they have.

We have attached the video from the Assembly, along with the two 'Memory' videos. Also attached are the 17 portraits of the leaving Primary 7 students. We think they are stunning. We wish the very best of luck and all of God's blessings upon Aaron, Aiden, Calvin, Caoimhin, Chloe, Clodagh, Dani, Darragh, Eimear, Emma, Johnnie, Mia, Orla, Patrick, Ronan, Saoirse and

These lucky children were also treated to a delicious cake after and a surprise visit from the ice cream van. Thank you to the parents who organized those surprises the children will certainly remember the day they left St Peter’s.
