Shared Education
We are delighted to have received a form of acceptance and a budget for Shared Education. We will be working with Gortin Primary and St Patrick's Gortin.
The children in Yr 2 and 3 will continue with the programme and Yr1 children will be involved. This is our strategy to begin with P.1 and maintain each year whilst increasing the numbers involved in the project in order to foster and deepen relationships between the children in all schools.
The programme will begin on Wednesday 5th November with children in Yr 1 -3 travelling to Owenkillew Centre in Gortin for a Core NI Fun Day with games. All children are to wear their sports gear and take a snack with them. They will be back for dinner time.
On Thursday 13th the Yr 1/2 children will be split between Gortin and St Patrick's, with the P.3 children attending a cooking session in Greencastle. Again wear school uniform and take a snack and drink.
On Thursday 20th November children in Yr1 -3 will visit the Gortin Glens. They will wear school uniform and dress in warm waterproof clothes with wellies or boots. Children will bring a packed lunch and snack and drink.
On Wednesday 26th November the Yr 1/2 children will be split with some children visiting St Patrick's for their play station. Yr 3 children will visit Beltrim Estate in Gortin and will wear their uniform with wellies and waterproofs.
